Swede Legend Joining United
Henrik Larsson is coming to Old Trafford on loan for 3 month in January. The former Celtic and Barcelona, 35 year old striker would be a good short term option as a stop-gap whenever the present current United's strikers, Rooney, Saha and Solskjaer are out of action. Hope United will not stop looking at the transfer market. Sir Alex Ferguson has plans to sign younger players such as Atletico Madrid's Fernando Torres, the Englishman, Owen Hargreaves at Bayern Munich and Freddy Adu from the States. This is not the first time, United has gone signing retiring, over 30 players the likes of Andy Goram from Rangers, French 98 World Cup winner, Laurent Blanc, current no.1 keeper, Van Der Sar. I would welcome this move as Henrik Larsson is a proven and prolific scorer in both league and international careers. He had won the UEFA Golden Shoe for notching 50 goals in a season. His total goals throughout his career at Celtic topped over 250 goals. Its not a bad move and I will have to see Larsson plays and scores regularly to make this as one of the bargain signing of the season.
Latest updates: SAF won't be signing any strikers after this move. Thats a disappointment for me and it sounds like United do not have the cash to splash on any new signings.
